This DEMO was created from an existing site located on the
California Parks Website. The info used in this site was from
a recent event held on November 15th, 2007.
The topic was Public
Lands and Climate Change. The symposium speakers were twelve very
well known authorities in their fields of research.

The
PhotoFlow object
above (not counting the pictures) is VERY light-weight. It has a
file size of 22Kb! This means it loads quickly and begins streaming
all of your pictures -- almost immediately. It also has built in pre-loading for each picture.
Just point a directory of images to it... and it'll do the rest!
There are many uses for this tool.
The challenge:
(In this
case it was extreme) Not only was it requested that I build my
interpretation of the existing site using any technologies I feel
that would be appropriate, but I was also expected to complete this
task within FIVE (5) days. It was an extreme task that required
extreme effort. I am pleased to add this to my portfolio with the
knowledge that I passed the test. I may not get the contract, but I
have a very cool site to show for it. You can use this within your site. It is a very
polished and useful interface. You may remember seeing it used in iTunes
and on the iPhone etc.
