Nostalgic Dragster Parts and Racing Parts

Brendan Murry approached Optical Fuel to see what could be done with his site to improve the look and feel, management and 'clean it up' some.

Brendan Murry is a 6-time World Champion in the front engine AA/Fuel Dragster World. He drives the "Running Wild" dragster turning in times of 5.879 @246.17 in a quarter mile! Translation: That's basically twice as fast as the very fastest street car out there! (such as a ZR1 Corvette) He builds very special motors, and sells parts for just about anything that is super fast and uses a Chevy or Pontiac motor. The task was clear: Retain the 'flavor' of the original website, but tune it up to be more modern and exciting.

Challenge: Clearly the most difficult part of the project was to come up with a way to improve the design, carry forward the flavor of the original site, but improve everything about it.

Solution: Using a minimal amount of Flash, animation and leveraging such technologies as CSS for quick formatting, the project was well on it's way to being the darling of Optical Fuel's Portfolio.

Result: An exciting new look and feel with features that can carry the nostalgic fan base to new heights!
